May Food Drive
Clemens PIE Club and Universal City UMC will be helping children from financially challenged families at Rose Garden Elem. this summer.

After the December Food Drive, the teens of the Clemens PIE Club saw the difference they made, how much they were able to help others and decided to continue their efforts by planning a summer program with Universal City United Methodist Church to help children from Rose Garden Elementary.
To Kick-Off the program, the children will be invited to attend an event where they’ll learn more about the summer program and receive a food pack of fresh produce and nutritional non-perishable items.
Then once a week throughout the summer, the children will be paired with a high school student from the community that will read, play games, mentor and led Bible studies with Rose Garden Elementary students. The children will receive lunch and a backpack with healthy snacks to take home.
Nutritional non-perishable items are needed including oatmeal, quinoa, rice, peanut butter, almond milk, soup, canned vegetables, canned tuna, spaghetti sauce, pasta, beans, canned salmon, apple sauce, etc.
If you’d like to contribute with a monetary or non-perishable donation the following stores will have collection boxes during the month of May.
